1. What’s included in the Lawn Mowing Service
Note
Also we will not be held responsible for any plants sticking out of the flower beds or tree rings that may get cut with the line trimmer since we ask that you make sure that you either cut them back or find a way to protect them since we trim around obstacles and their is a high possibility of the plant getting cut since it will be in our way while working on your property
2. Here is what is not included in the regular lawn mowing service
Trimming hedges and shrubs spreading mulch in the flower beds and Pulling weeds out of the flower beds rock beds or rock pathways or tree rings blowing out leaves out of the flower beds or rock beds and rock pathways and blowing out leaves out rock bed’s for air conditioning units those are additional services that can be bought at our hourly rate of 136 per hour for a 2 man crew with a 1 hour minimum plus the price of the mulch if you wanted to add mulch to the flower beds.
We don’t blow leaves out of the flower beds or rock beds and on to the lawn and then mulch them. Any leaf mulching is accidental only but that is not part of the lawn mowing service. And leaf removals can be bought at an hourly rate of $136 per hour for a man crew with a 1 hour minimum plus the price of the bags and haul off fee if you wanted the leaves hauled off.
If the crew is told to do one of those services and it only takes 10-20 minutes we will automatically charge the card on file $136 since that is our minimum to do those services since we have to push out other clients on the schedule since we only work so many hours a day and there is a possibility a client would cancel their service if we have to push out their service.
Bagging the grass clippings of the lawn this is an additional service which we charge at 7 dollars per brown bag that we fill with grass clippings and we leave by the curb for the city to dispose off we don’t haul off the clippings with us.
Also we don’t use a line trimmer to weed eat the grass growing around the driveway seams or the cracks in the sidewalk or road or any grass growing on the top of a retaining wall in the backyard due to rocks flying up and hitting or breaking something which causes a liability issue.
3. How and when will I be billed?
4. How to skip a lawn mowing service and what happens if you do?
We do need a 48 hour business day notice for any changes But if your lawn Mowing day is Monday or Tuesday we need to be notified the Friday before. Same day cancellation will result in a $25 dollar cancellation fee due to us saving you a spot on our schedule.
And you get one free skip every 6 months per year for a total of 2 skips per year the skips cannot be rolled over to the other 6 months if the skip is not used. Once the 6 months pass by the free skip is gone after that we will have to charge a $25 dollar save a spot fee in order to save you a spot on our schedule. It’s just that once our route is booked up on a crew we don’t take on new clients so we have to turn down new clients in order to save you a spot on our schedule. This is due to the limited availability on our crew’s schedule and the high demand we have for new service.
Failure to Agree will result in cancellation of your mowing service.
5. Our Additional services are listed here with their hourly rate.
Also We only offer our additional services to our recurring lawn mowing clients. And these services are not part of the regular lawn mowing service. Our additional services are Hedge trimming flower bed weed pulling, Leaf Removal and Spreading mulch in flower beds and for the mulch we have to provide it for you client’s can’t provide their own mulch. These services starts off at $136 per hour for a two man crew with a 1 hour minimum and prorated by the minute at 2.27 per minute for a two man crew after the 1 hour minimum.
The hourly rate does not include the mulch for the flower bed or the haul off fee and driving fee for disposing off the hedge clippings weeds or leaves at the landfill. That would be an additional fee on top of the hourly rate but we do dispose off those things in brown recyclable bags and we charge 2 dollars per each bag we use and we do leave them by the street for the city to dispose off we would just charge off the time it took the crew to bag and put them by the street curb for the city to dispose off. If you did want us to haul those things off to the landfill it would be an additional 200 per trip to the landfill. We usually can fit everything in one trip but in case we had to come back and load what didn’t fit in the first trip we would have to charge for the loading time by the minute or a 45 dollar minimum if the time spent was a few minutes since our minimum to go to a property is 45 dollars. Plus another trip fee to the landfill since the landfill charges a fee and we charge a fee to drive over there and dispose.
6. Same Day Cancellation
If you cancel or skip service on your scheduled lawn mowing day or the crew is told not to mow the lawn. We will charge your card on file a $25 dollar same day cancellation fee due to the drive time the crew spent to drive to your lawn and since we had to reserve you a spot on our schedule.
Failure to agree will result in cancellation of your mowing service.
7. Long Grass Fee?
Overgrown lawns 4 inches or taller for Bermuda and zoysia grass and for any other lawn type including weeds anything 6 inches or taller will be charged at double the lawn mowing price. At least 50% off the lawn has to be overgrown in order for it to be charged at double.
Really overgrown grass 6 inches or taller for Bermuda and zoysia grass and for any other lawn type Including weeds anything 9 inches or taller will be charged at an hourly rate of 136 per hour for a 2 man crew with a 1 hour minimum no exceptions. At least 50% off the lawn has to be 6 inches or taller for Bermuda and zoysia grass and 9 inches or taller for any other lawn type in order for it to be charged at 136 per hour for a 2 man crew with a 1 hour minimum.
If our crew shows up to mow your lawn and you forget to tell us that your lawn is overgrown. We will not mow your lawn and we will charge your card on file a $45 dollar same day cancellation fee since our crew drove out to your property and we had to save you a spot on our schedule. And we will contact you to reschedule for another day with the correct pricing whether it be double the lawn price or our hourly rate.
And we Also don’t bag the grass clippings and we don’t haul them off with us but if you wanted that service added if the grass is really tall. We would just charge while we are there mowing off our hourly rate to bag the grass and to put it on our trailer we also charge 2 dollars per each bag we use and an additional fee of 200 per trip to the landfill. We usually can fit everything in one trip but in case we had to come back and load what didn’t fit in the first trip we would have to charge for the loading time by the minute. Plus another 200 dollar trip fee to the landfill since the landfill charges a fee and we charge a fee to drive over there and dispose off the grass clippings.
When we mow an overgrown lawn we will try to make it look it’s best sometimes it will take a few lawn mowings in order for the lawn to look better specially if it is really overgrown.
This also applies to clients that skip their lawn service. If the crew shows up to mow your property after you have skipped a lawn mowing and the grass is 4 inches or taller for Bermuda and Zoysia grass and for any other lawn type if it is 6 inches or taller we will charge double or more for the extra time needed to mow your lawn.
8. Yearly rate increase
In order to keep up with the rising cost of doing business every year we will automatically raise our prices by 4% on your lawn mowing and other services rates to continue giving you the best service possible.
9. We don’t offer refunds on any of our services all sales are final
All sales are final once we have serviced your property for any of theses services here whether it be lawn mowing or hedge trimming mulching flower bed’s, weed pulling, leaf removal services. We don’t do refunds if a service could not be completed due to a dog in the backyard or a locked gate and we could only do a partial service. And since their is manual labor involved we can’t give out refunds. or if for some reason you were unhappy with a service provided at your property we don’t do refunds once your property has been serviced the sale is final.
10. Is My Lawn Mowing Day Guaranteed ?
We do guarantee your lawn mowing day but when you sign up for lawn mowing service there is a provision that we have the right to change your lawn mowing day if we don’t service your part of town on that day anymore.
11. The Edging is Overgrown on my Sidewalk or Driveway
if the edging on the sidewalks or driveway has never been done to the property or it is more than 2 inches over the sidewalk or driveway line we will have to charge the lawn mowing at an hourly rate since it takes a lot of time to get the edging back to the sidewalk or driveway line.
12. What size mower will be used to Mow My Lawn.
We use a mix of Commercial 21 inch push mowers and commercial 36 inch Walk behind/Stander Mowers depending on the property type we will use what is best suited for the property. We usually only use the commercial 21 inch push mowers on really small lawns but we don’t guarantee you’ll get a specific mower under a special request we will use what we have to mow your lawn.
Note any size mower may leave rut’s in the lawn we are just letting you know that that is normal regardless of the size of the mower and lawn care solutions will not be held responsible for rut’s in the lawn that our mowers may make while mowing your lawn since we are letting you know of this issue before you sign up for service.
13. I have pets, what do I need to know and how to deal with Pet waste?
We ask that all your pets be kept indoors and all gates unlocked on your mow day. Our crews are very careful about closing gates before they leave, but we do not guarantee that a pet will not escape from the yard, therefore, you are accepting our service with this provision. Lawn Care Solutions is not responsible for lost or injured pets.
And if there is any pet waste on the lawn it needs to be cleaned up before the crew gets there you can clean up a day before or we will not be able to service the part of the lawn with pet waste on it and if pet waste does get on our equipment we will charge a fee for the time it took us to clean it off since we can’t bring pet waste to another clients lawn or driveway.
Also if there is any pet food or water left in a bowl it needs to be removed from the porch or driveway or where ever it is at by the homeowner before the crew arrives to mow your lawn since the blowers might knock it down and the food and water will spill out while blowing those areas.
14. At What time will the crew mow my yard?
15. Can i get a guaranteed time frame and Date that I want my lawn to be mowed at
16. What if I want my lawn bagged?
We only bag grass clippings for weekly lawns.
We can bag the grass clippings on your lawn but this is a separate service.
We charge 7 dollars per brown recyclable bag that is bagged with grass clippings.
The price is determined off the time it will take us to bag the grass clippings off the lawn and the price of the recyclable bag.
And we will put the grass clippings in brown recyclable bags and leave them on the front curb for the city to dispose of.
17. At what height will my lawn be mowed?
The Shortest height we mow any lawn no matter the frequency is 2.5 Inches unless you have zoysia grass and it’s too thick to mow we may mow at 3 inches but we don’t mow shorter than 2.5 inches due to scalping and excess grass being left on the lawn.
18. Canceling service during the winter time
Also we don’t stop services automatically during the winter time. All cancellations need to be done on the client’s end through email or client portal or by a phone call.
19. Can I get one time lawn mowing’s during the winter time.
During the winter time we don’t offer one time lawn mowings after you have canceled your service with us. But if you needed your lawn mowed you would have to sign up for recurring lawn mowing service since we only mow lawns to current clients since we stay busy all year round.
20. What if there are too many leaves on my lawn?
If the crew shows up to mow your property and there are too many leaves on the lawn for the lawn to be mowed. You would first need to get a leaf removal done at you’re property and then we can mow your lawn otherwise we cannot mow your lawn due to the lawn being un-mowable.
21. Will Edging Be Done Around The Flower Beds And Tree Rings ?
If you are on an Every week or Every Two Weeks lawn mowing service schedule Flower bed and Tree Ring Edging with a line trimmer to make a defined line between the grass and the mulch is included in the standard service.
The only time the edging won’t be done around the flower beds or tree rings is listed here below.
The only exception that the edging wouldn’t be done as part of the service is if there is metal edging around the flower beds or tree rings or if there was previously no edging done to the flower beds or tree rings when we started servicing the property. We can’t do the edging since the metal would act as a defined line so the grass won’t grow in to the bed and if there was no edging done previously and their is no metal edging we won’t do the edging since the grass is in to the bed and tree rings and a lot of mulch will fly up and there is a high possibility of breaking windows and scratching vehicles. At that point you would have to get a flower bed and tree ring clean out so we can make you a define line to avoid damaging stuff after that we will do the edging on the flower beds and tree rings moving forward wit a line trimmer.
22. What happens if it rains on my scheduled service day?
We mow in light rain unless it is a continuous downpour. We will pick up the schedule where we left off when the rain lets up, provided that your lawn is not overly saturated. We will utilize Saturday and possibly Sunday’s in order to complete the week’s schedule if necessary.
23. Dealing with property damage or if something is broken
If you need to make a claim due to property damage or if something is broken you need to contact us as soon as possible you have up to 24 hours to make a claim for example if your lawn mowing day is Monday and the lawn got mowed at 3:00 pm you have until Tuesday at 3:00 pm to make a claim. if you wait longer unfortunately we couldn’t be able to fix the issue since there are too many variables like if someone else was mowing the neighbors lawn and they caused the damage and then we get blamed for it.
And Any claim stating a well there wasn’t a scratch on my car before or you broke my sprinkler head or a pvc pipe or a rock flew up and scratched my neighbor’s car or my friends car or a relatives or the siding on my house is a little torn up and the damage was there after you guys mowed our lawn. Or any claim like that will require Clear video footage with audio of us making that damage with the noise from what caused it. Without Clear video footage and audio Lawn Care Solutions will not be held responsible for that damage and we will not have to fix the issue or pay for it since there is no solid evidence that we caused the damage.
By signing up for service with Lawn Care Solutions you have automatically agreed to our Property Damage Policy. And Lawn Care Solutions will not be held responsible or have to repair or pay for any claim were there is no solid Clear video footage with audio of us making the damage.
24. What if I lock my gate and What if I Leave my pets in my backyard ?
If you have pets in your backyard or if the backyard gate is locked have it unlocked and keep your pets inside. On your lawn mowing day and we will send you an email if we have to reschedule due to rain.
If you have pets in your backyard or if you lock your backyard gate and we show up to mow your lawn and we can’t because your pets are outside in your backyard or the backyard gate is locked we will have to charge. A 45 dollar return trip fee to come back another day to mow your backyard since we tell the crew to knock on the door to see if your pets can be put up or to see if the backyard gate can be unlocked and that takes time. And we only have a certain time frame to mow your lawn and by knocking on the front door it takes a lot of that time away from the lawn mowing. And we will still charge the full lawn mowing price if we could only mow the front lawn due to pets being left in the backyard or if the backyard gate was locked. Since the crew knocks on the door to see if someone can put up the pets or unlock the backyard gate and that takes time.
But if you would like us to send you an email notification a day before this way If you keep your backyard gate locked you can unlock it or if you keep your pets outside this way you can keep your pets inside. We can do this just let us know so we can add you to our list of email reminders or if you would like to give us the gate code to unlock the Backyard gate. We can do that too just give us that information and we can add it to the notes on your account.
25. How we deal with items in the yard!
We trim around trampolines, playhouses, and lawn furniture and trees and fence line. We do not move large items and appreciate you defining a border around objects to prevent any accidents. You must pick up your Items from your yard on your mow day. Items may include toys, dog bones, seasonal lawn decor, larger rocks, and hoses and any trash. These items are hazardous if hit by the mower blades and can result in serious damage to your property and our equipment, or serious injury to our crew or others if our crew has to pick up items off your lawn we will charge an additional fee due to the time it spent the crew picking up those things since we only have so much time to mow your lawn and picking up those items will add more time that
26. How to prevent damage to common items in the yard
All wiring and outdoor stuff must be protected and covered by the homeowner. For example A/C unit wiring, landscape lighting, electrical devices, phone and cable lines and PVC pipes, etc. We will not be responsible for damage to exposed sprinkler heads and lines, plastic landscape lighting, dog fence lines, swing set, playgrounds and other items that might touch the mower blades or wheel or be touched by the line trimmer. These items should be removed from the lawn or covered on the day of service by the homeowner.
27. Protecting plants, trees, fences, Vinyl Siding and other common permanent fixtures in the yard and around the house
You should protect your plants and trees with defined borders. and vinyl siding if it is too low to the ground since line trimmers or weed-eaters rotate very fast . This can cause marks on trees, fence, posts and many other items. Our crews will work carefully to prevent any damages from occurring, but It is the homeowner’s responsibility to place a defined and protective border to prevent any damage from occurring.
28. Signing up For Service With Lawn Care Solutions
